Saturday...

Well, now I have pictures. It's a DONE DEAL. I finished the hat and ascot for my goddaughter for this Christmas. I decided to knit up a small leaf to put on the hat to give it a little "oomph". The ascot has "oomph" on its own...those stripes! I nearly chucked it, but thought, SHE'D like it (my goddaughter, she's 10 years old). So I kept going and finished it up. The top of that hat I also like because of the finish. I prefer not to have a full "gather" at the top. So I've been putting this finish on the tops of a lot of hats. But that's another post...

Here are the hat and ascot...and of course, this is about Harry & Hawthorne too. Harry insisted on holding the knitting and being in the picture. You know cats...The brothers were six months old on October 1st. The doc says Harry and Hawthorne are going to be B I G cats. They're part Maine Coon. You can tell by the extra fur in their ears and paws. Hawthorne is below. He preferred to be in the bathroom sink while all this photo taking was going on... :-)
